Martha Chesley went to the loving arms of her God on Thursday February 9th. She was at home with her family around her as they were praying the Rosary, something that Martha did everyday.
Martha, one of our original parishioners, was born in Indian Head, Maryland and lived later in San Francisco and Sunnyvale. An active pillar of our community, an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist and a proclaimer, Martha’s smiling face is well-known to all. She was always there to help, unlock the church early, and do what ever needed to be done to make our worship time meaningful and beautiful.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Joyce and Larry Walker, Valerie and Edward Johnson, Larry and Vera Elston, Gloria Young and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Vigil will be held for Martha on Thursday, February 16th, at 7 pm in our church. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 17th at 10 am. There will be a reception in Farana later after Mass.
Our Resurrection Community offers our prayers and condolences.
