Resurrection School Celebrates 1st Mass of the 2016-2017 School Year

Pentecost window

The students of Resurrection School celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit together with Fr. Noel on Friday, August 19th, on the 3rd day of their school year.

Using one of our beautiful stained glass windows, Fr. Noel used this visual image of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, to remind us all of this blessing and gift.  Fr. Noel told the students to be courageous this year in their studies, just as the disciples acquired courage from the Holy Spirit on Pentecost!  Hehe inspired them to study diligently and reminded them to focus on learning, not just for school and grades, but for the rest of their lives.

New Resurrection families were greeted, as well as veteran families, staff, teachers, parents and students.  Fr. Noel reminded the children to start to dream and reflect on what they would like to be when they grow up.  He knew when he was 4 years of age that he wanted to be a priest!

We look forward to our weekly Friday morning Masses together this school year and wish everyone a safe and blessed year of growing and learning!
