St. Katharine Drexel School Initiative Scholarship Program!

Catholic_SchoolsEach empty seat in our Catholic schools represents a lost opportunity to uniquely develop a child in our rich Catholic Faith. Bishop Patrick J. McGrath, John A. Sobrato, and John M. Sobrato are so convinced of this and so committed to affordable, accessible Catholic Education for every child in the Diocese of San Jose that we have joined our resources in a “Drexel Scholarship” fund for the seven schools in the Saint Katharine Drexel School Initiative (SKDI). Our own Resurrection Parish School is participating in this program.

The goal of the Saint Katharine Drexel School Initiative is to provide all families in the Diocese of San Jose access to the highest quality, affordable Catholic education, while increasing our strong Catholic Identity. In an effort to reach more families who want their children to attend Catholic schools, we are offering a $3,000 scholarship for the 2013/14 academic year to all new students enrolling at any of the SKDI schools between August 1st and September 30th. As an incentive, a $500 referral bonus will be awarded to the family that recruits any new enrolled student for one of the seven SKDI schools during this two month period. The seven SKDI schools are: Catholic Academy and RESURRECTION SCHOOL (both of Sunnyvale), St. Joseph (Mountain View), St. Clare (Santa Clara), St. Patrick (downtown San Jose), Most Holy Trinity (east San Jose), and Holy Spirit (south San Jose).
