Plea Dollars Go To Work – Contributions Exceed $500,000!

We, the Plea to Our Congregation Committee, last addressed the Congregation in November when we shared that we had exceeded the $250,000 goal. We have come a long way since then. Through your generosity and commitment to Resurrection Church, we are delighted to advise that we have more than doubled the total contributions – more than $503,000 – a half million dollars to address important, necessary capital projects and long overdue maintenance!

We are indeed on a path to continue the rich and cherished legacy of Resurrection Church.

As promised, the most important maintenance project is the church roof and the facilities committee has given it the highest priority. Following is the roof project status and time line:

1/19     Resurrection committee approved RFP (Request for Proposal) to be sent to contractors.

1/24     Resurrection parishioners voted on our roof tile color (choosing tile selection # 3, above).

1/25     Diocese Facilities Director lead roof contractor “roof walk” as they prepared their bids.

2/8       Public bid opening and contractor selection will take place in the office of the Diocese Facilities Director.

When the rains stop – the work begins

As Fr. Bob shared in November, “We are touched and appreciative of your generosity”

More to come as we remain committed to keeping you informed – visit where all announcements and more information on the Plea maintenance projects can be found.
