Summer Camp and Summer School

Resurrection School offers two summer programs: Summer Camp and Summer School

Summer School is offered for four weeks starting the end of June.  Children are divided into age groups and the basic academic skills are kept fresh during the summer months for the particular age group. Qualified teachers are assigned to each age group and in addition to the core curriculum of mathematics and language arts, all students will have daily computer instruction. The goal is to keep students’ skills sharp over the summer; no homework, tests, or quizzes are given. Age groups are based on the child’s grade for the 2010/2011 school year.

Summer Camp is offered to students entering Kindergarten through sixth grade in the 2010-2011 school year. It is offered for seven weeks during the months of June, July and August. Fun Summer Camp activities include arts and crafts, trips to the parks and swim center, field trips, and enjoyable times with friends!  Every Wednesday afternoon, the children and staff bus to the Santa Clara International Swim Center or the Blackberry Farm. Under supervised care, the children play games at the Swim Center, and can take private swimming lessons from Resurrection School’s summer staff at no additional charge. On Tuesday afternoons, the children and staff walk to Serra Park on Hollenbeck Avenue where games are played and prizes are won! On Thursdays, the students stay on site for a day of fun and games! Every Friday afternoon an exciting field trip is planned to visit local sites, zoos, and museums. Barbecues, water play  games, relay races, sand play, organized games, arts and crafts, and playground fun are all part of the Summer Camp program.
